Rhodes Memorial Chapel at Pine Grove CemeteryMrs. Amos Rhodes donated the funds to build this chapel in 1891 in memory of her late husband. |  Compare and contrast the post card image (at left) from 1910 to a photo taken a few months ago. Pine Grove’s name comes from the wealth of pine trees that frame the Rhodes Chapel and the entrance at Boston Street.

Here's another view of the Rhodes Chapel at Pine Grove Cemetery. The style is Romanesque.Pine Grove Cemetery is a municipally owned cemetery established in 1850.

The wall around the cemetery was listed in "Ripley’s Believe It or Not" as the “second longest contiguous stone wall in the world”, second only to the Great Wall of China. |
