This view of the post office shows the electric lines used by the electric trolleys to move Lynn's citizens around town circa 1920. The automobile was becoming popular but still financially out of reach for many Americans.

This early view of the Lynn Post Office was decorated with glitter. Today this building serves as a homeless shelter and houses "My Brother's Table." |
Lynn's new Post Office would be built in the early 1930's during the depression. The interior paintings are examples of early Works Progress Administration murals in the style of Art Deco. |
