Methodist Churches The First Methodist Church in City Hall Square had a church bell made by Paul Revere. The bell was saved after the fire in 1972 and moved to the church on the corner of Union and Chestnut Streets. The bell has moved again.

Maple Street Methodist Church was popular and successful at the corner of Maple and Chestnut streets through the 60's and 70's. Like many churches in America, attendance fell as good church goers chose the local malls as their Sunday destination. Today this spot is a credit union. Photos below were taken the week before demolition.
